The Cake Shop Known for Cookies
Come visit us at 155 W 18th, Lower Level, New York, NY 10011.
City Cakes is a high end cake shop that takes inspiration from NYC's diverse melting pot and uses it to create gorgeous works of edible art, both stunning and delicious. City Cakes is also known to make some of the world's best cookies, their signature line weighing in at a half pound each.
Our new HQ opened in Spring 2021, just one block away from our original Basement Bakery location. While we were sad to say goodbye to that location, we are more than excited to host you safely in our new HQ.
Our famously original Half Pound Cookies are baked fresh each and every day, along with our Gourmet Cupcakes, breakfast goodies and more. Cookies can also be covered in our signature frostings with sprinkles, halved and filled with two scoops of gelato for an amazing ice cream sandwich, or stacked 3x high to make the most unique little cookie cake ever, serving 6-8 people.
Additionally with our new headquarters, we are able to offer an entire line of City Cakes Coffee House blends, iced Bakers Espresso on tap, as well as a full line of hand chosen Harney & Sons Teas.
Any of these things are available for local delivery *within range* or preorder for quick pickup by visiting this link.
Our shop is located on the ground level of a residential building called The Flynn at 155 West 18th Street in Manhattan, between 7th and 8th Avenues in the Chelsea neighborhood and a few blocks East of the famous Highline Park. The Local Red 1 subway line has a stop at the end of our block (West 18th Street) or we're a short walk from the 8th Avenue Blue A,C,E or Grey L lines at West 14th Street, or the 8th Avenue Local Blue C or E at West 23rd Street.
We are open all seven days a week from 10:30am until 10pm. Currently we offer no retail seating, however, you are more than welcome to grab a snack and go, or perch on our eating ledge in the front of our store. We welcome you to schedule a cake tasting by starting the design conversation when you contact us! We tend to occasionally sell out of some items, so we ask you to be patient with us in case this happens - it is hard to predict traffic these days and we are doing the best we can.
Please use the contact us link above if you have an inquiry regarding a cake, cupcake or cookie order. You can also email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for any cake or wholesale orders, or try calling us at (646) 688-2286 and listen to the options for direction (or press 0 during the main menu to speak with someone). Even if you choose to call, we will still require email communication about all orders, as we do not like to give quotes over the phone and prefer to email with all order confirmations so nothing is lost in translation! We hope you understand and thank you for your patience.
