This Ancient Pottery Artifact Cake was made for a famous philanthropist in the Manhattan area and combined sculptured cake, fondant, sugar gum paste and hand painted edible ink murals to make this one heck of a precise pottery replica to celebrate Robert Belfer's birthday (of the Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs). The Belfer's recently announced that they would gift over 350 works of art and artifacts from their Belfer Collection to The Israel Museum in Jeursalem to be a centerpiece of their 50th Anniversary celebrations. An absolutely stunning cake for a stunning philanthropist and art connoisseur!
