Ingredient Usage & Consumption Recommendations

City Cakes does NOT claim to be any of the following in terms of a complete bakery environment: nut-free, dairy-free, soy-free, sugar-free, wheat-free, gluten-free or anything-free. We make this statement so individuals with a particular type of allergy or disease don’t incorrectly assume our menu is OK for them  

We are a very small and traditional baking and production shop that uses most of the ingredients involved in traditional baking. This being said, many of the items we make are “free” of certain ingredients, e.g. gluten-free or nut-free, and we take great precautions at keeping inventory and ingredients separate, though due to size of facility, equipment and tools may be shared.

While some products are free of allergenic or toxic ingredients, please note again that we are a 320sf bakery and all products at City Cakes have the chance of sharing the air with sister ingredients - we operate with a single shared oven. We have a staff that is highly trained and certified in NYC DOH Food Handling, and we hope you trust our efforts in keeping our shared resources clean and reliable. For your own safety we recommend anyone with highly allergic reactions or Celiac Disease take caution when consuming our products at their own risk. We would rather you safe than sorry!

As of Summer 2018, we are in the middle of a delayed City Cakes expansion and any of our ingredient lists are available for our products upon request, however individual products are not marked. Calorie counts and nutritional information are expected to be available in Winter 2018.
